BIO
Ross Amador was born and currently lives in the Los Angeles area. His early influences were the photographic work of
Joel-Peter Witkin, Mike & Doug Starn, Man Ray, and Simon Larbalestier. He received a B.A. in Fine Art Photography
from California State University Fullerton in 1990. Currently, his work is a synthesis of digital, found objects, and mixed media.
STATEMENT
I see a progression in my work which reflects a continued growth in awareness and perspective. As the work evolves
from a specific narrative to a means of grappling with larger realities, there remains a visual consistency of voice.
In a culture crammed with images and messages I hope to offer the viewer a space for an internal dialogue with that
which is beyond words.
